She’s fought a hard battle with lymphoma for the past four months. We weren’t sure she’d make it to her birthday on Christmas Day, but she rallied and made it. She made it to my birthday late in January and she hung on stubbornly, like the calico diva princess she always was. Yesterday we knew she was finally ready. She passed at home quietly in her favorite spot with her family by her side. I don’t know what I’ll do without her following me around all day and giving me her judgmental looks interspersed with slow blinks of pure love. She was the best head butter, purr motor, and cuddle kitty. She was truly a once in a lifetime cat. I’m so grateful I had the privilege of loving her and being loved by her for wonderful 13 years on earth. I only wish she could have stayed longer. Her legacy lives on in our family with her great granddaughters Ksenia and Katerina. She will be forever missed.
